We are delighted to announce the yearly scholarship sponsored by the Utah Trappers Association (UTA). Every September, during our convention, we present two scholarships, each worth $1,000. This financial aid is intended for individuals who are currently enrolled in a college program, with a preference for those studying Wildlife Conservation and the Environment. The scholarship is open to all ages, aiming to support those who are eager to advance their education.

Qualification Criteria

For the UTA Scholarship, the following eligibility criteria apply:

  1. Applicants must be enrolled in a college program. Those studying Wildlife Conservation and the Environment are given priority.
  2. Previous recipients of the UTA Scholarship are not eligible.
  3. Applicants must be a UTA member or a relative of a UTA member.

Application Materials

Applicants must submit the following:

  • Completed application form
  • A copy of the acceptance letter from the college where you are enrolled
  • Two recommendation letters
  • A copy of your academic transcripts
  • An essay of 500 words or more discussing:
    • Your views on conservation, particularly in relation to wildlife as a renewable resource.
    • Your intended contributions to the wildlife conservation effort.
  • Any other relevant information (e.g., related awards)
