Peter Freeman Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Don E. Davis Squadron
Background
For over 29 years Captain Pete Freeman served as the driving force behind the original Reunion known as the Retired Aviation Supply Marines (RASM). He championed expanding the Reunion to include all Aviation Logisticians, and his efforts led to renaming and refocusing the group as Aviation Logistics Marines. In tribute to his dedication and the continuing tradition of aviation logistics, a scholarship was created in his honor. The organization is now a member of the Marine Corps Aviation Association, operating as the Don E. Davis Squadron.
Eligibility
The scholarship is open to dependents — spouses, children — and grandchildren of Aviation Logisticians in the fields of Aircraft Maintenance, Aviation Ordnance, Avionics, or Aviation Supply. Eligible sponsors include active-duty, reserve, retired, or former Marines who served in those aviation logistics specialties.
Purpose and Invitation
We seek a select number of outstanding students who have earned academic success through hard work and merit. Take advantage of this opportunity and let the Don E. Davis Squadron assist a deserving member of our community in pursuing a quality education.
